This is our second apartment on the left bank. Ideally situated next to the Place Saint-andré des Arts, between St.Michel and the Boulevard Saint Germain. this is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Paris, (historically it was here that were situated all the universities since the middle ages. The Romans had thermal baths, which can still be visited today (the baths of Cluny), just around the corner from the apartment.
Notre Dame de Paris is just a five minute walk away, as well as the Sainte Chapelle, the Conciergerie, boulevard Saint Germain with its great shopping and cafés such as Café Flore, Les Deux Magots, Chez Lipp.....And the Louvre is just a short pleasant walk across one of Paris' beautiful bridges.
The apartment itself is a haven of peace. You enter the building through an antique wooden door (with a security code), then after passing a beautiful grilled entry gate (with an interphone), you come into a beautiful flowered courtyard, which makes you forget that you are right in the center of the city.
This one bedroom 45 sq. meter (485 sq. feet) flat is on the third floor (no elevator) of an eighteenth century building. it has an entrance hall with a separate toilet, leading on to the bedroom, with the fully equipped kitchen to your left. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with separate freezer, an oven, a four burner gas and electric stove, toaster, coffee maker and a kettle. Next to the bedroom is the bathroom with a corner bath, marble sink and plenty of storage space.
The living room has a decorative fireplace, with antique mirror, a dining table, sofa and a hi-fi system. All the windows of the apartment look down onto the wonderful courtyard below.
If you are looking for something very calm with a sense of refrined style, this apartment is perfect for you....
