This sunny apartment is situated on the sixth floor (elevator) of an early nineteenth century building which used to belong to the mistress of a French president from that period. It is ideally situated in the heart of Saint Germain des Pres, just next door to the famous Alcazar restaurant and bar designed by Sir Terence Conran. The area is crowded with wonderful art galleries, antique dealers and fabulous decorators fabric shops.
The apartment itself is 40 sq. meters (430 sq. feet) with an entrance leading on to a large open-space living area with black-stained oak floors, wood-beamed roof and windows on both sides, bathing the apartment in sunlight and looking out over the roofs of Paris, the steeple of the church of Saint Germain des Pres and even the tip of the Eiffel tower, which you can see glittering like diamonds every hour on the hour of the evening, from the living room or the bed.
The living room has a small open plan kitchen with a bar and bar stools. It is equipped with a vitroceramic cooker with two burners, a microwave oven/grill combi, a refrigerator with ice compartment, a dishwashing machine, a sink, coffe-maker and toaster.
The living space is fitted with a convertible sofa bed with comfortable bedding for one guest (120cm*190cm), a coffee table, an armchair, telephone with free calling to the countries listed below and flatscreen television with cable connection.
The bedroom with its large queen-sized bed (160cm*200cm) looks out over the roofs of Paris and towards the tip of the Eiffel tower. It is equipped with a large wardrobe.
The bathroom has a large tiled shower, sink, washing machine/dryer combo and a hairdryer.
