This stylish apartment is very conveniently located on Ile Saint Louis, one of the two small islands that make up the heart of Paris and where the first Parisians started to build their city. The island was occupied by the aristocracy and King's ministers before the revolution, and this period has left its mark on the architecture that one finds there, with beautiful 17th and 18th century 'hotels particuliers' throughout.

The studio is located on the central street of the island, called rue Saint Louis-en-l'isle, famous for its ice-cream maker 'Berthillon' considered to have the best ice-creams and sorbets in France. Be sure to visit the baroque church on the same street, with its unique steeple and beautiful interiors, where classical concerts are often given. Of course, it goes without saying that being on Ile Saint Louis, you are in the pulse of the city: cross over the bridge to Ile de la Cite and you will be just behind Notre Dame de Paris, after that you are spoilt for choice: left bank, with the latin quarter, Saint Michel, Saint Germain des Pres, or right bank with the Marais, the Louvre, Les Halles, the Champs Elysees.....

This apartment is situated on the third floor of a beautiful 18th Century building and was renovated and tastefully decorated in November 2007. It is very well conceived, about 35 square meters (377 sq. feet) large. The living area, with pull-out sofa bed and the sleeping area with its queen-sized bed are separated by a wall. With its four large windows, it is bathed in light all day long. The bedroom area looks over a wooded courtyard and the living room onto the street (which is very calm at this end). There is an open-plan kitchen, equipped with a four-burner electric stove, an oven, refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, toaster and kettle.

The bathroom has a bathtub, sink, hair dryer and washing machine, no dryer, but there is a clothes line over the bath and there is storage space next to the entrance, where you can find an iron and ironing board.

The apartment is equipped with wi-fi high-speed internet access and a television with DVD player (no television connection until the end of the summer) and free telephone to land lines to most countries in the world.
