New apartment

July 9, 2009 1:30 pm | Posted by John Armstrong

One of our guests who stayed with us recently was tempted by the idea of acquiring her own apartment in Paris. She has found an apartment in the Marais and asked us to check it out and maybe help her out with the administrative side, with a view to managing the apartment. So at 1:30 today Régis and John have an appointment with the real estate agent to look at the apartment and see if it is suitable for us to take on.

A NEW RENOVATION JUST ADDED TO OUR PORTFOLIO OF LUXURY STUDIOS!

June 19, 2009 1:27 pm | Posted by John Armstrong

We recently completed a total renovation of a studio apartment in the very central Les Halles neighbourhood of Paris for one of our investment clients. The apartment is situated on the first floor of a 17th century building, with very high ceilings. It is about 35 sq. Metres large.

View of the studio before the renovation work

The first pictures show the apartment before we started  renovation. There was a mezzanine that cut the light coming into the apartment making it very dark, which we moved to the other side of the studio, in order to open up the two large windows giving on to an inner courtyard. We also completely restored and renovated the plumbing and electricity, created a new modern bathroom with a large shower, toilet and sink and a modern American kitchen.

Below, you can see some images of the project that we presented to the client.

And after approximately six weeks of renovation and two more weeks for the decoration we were able to welcome guests in the new apartment, who were extremely happy with it.

Here are some pictures that we took in the beginning. We will be posting some better photos (some features such as the kitchen and curtains were not yet fully installed in these photos) on the web page of the apartment, http://specialapartments.com/12_cossonnerie.html
