2 Comments » Over the last couple of months we’ve been working hard on a luxury renovation of a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment that is a few blocks from Opera Garnier. The reference number of the apartment is #009 and we are already taking reservations from the beginning of February 2010. We wanted to share again with you how things are going, so I took some pictures a couple of days ago to show you how it is now.

View of the living rom from the entrance hallway, floors will be in waxed oak parquet, empire style chandelier and luxury decoration to come

Ensuite bathroom just after posing arabescato marble, glass shower doors, taps mirrors & lighting to come

The en-suite bathroom attached to the back bedroom just after the grey carnica marble was installed. Taps and glass shower partition still to come.

We photographed Reference #039, because we had the 50′ vintage armchair re-upholstered in a beautiful turquoise wool fabric and put up some new photographic artwork in the bedroom. Its a great apartment in a very popular area with the fashion/art crowd and there is a great food market just around the corner.
We hadn’t had a chance to take proper photos of the apartment reference #028 that we renovated recently, because it has been fully-booked since we started renting it out a few months ago. The photos that we had, showed the apartment before it was completely finished. There is still some artwork to go there and a chair for the desk, which are all arriving in the next few days. We will keep you posted.
At Reference #004, in the Marais area of Paris, we recently added a new very good sofa-bed from Steiner. It has a good mattress, unlike many sofa-beds. We also changed the table and chairs (Bertoia) and put some new photographic artwork on the walls. We hope you like it!

She has found an apartment in the Marais and asked us to check it out and maybe help her out with the administrative side, with a view to managing the apartment. So at 1:30 today Régis and John have an appointment with the real estate agent to look at the apartment and see if it is suitable for us to take on.
Leave Comment » Régis, John & Hugh have just come back from a new apartment that we ‘ve taken on, on the rue Saint Sauveur in the Montorgueil neighbourhood. It is in a building that once belonged to Colbert, who was Louis XIV’s finance minister, before he occupied that post and while he was working as the secretary to Cardinal Mazarin in the 17th century.
There is a beautiful courtyard with trees and it is extremely quiet. You can see it as it is now by following the following link
Today we put some beautiful paintings, new lights, candlesticks, silver bowls, new cushions and decorative objects. We will also be changing the dining table and chairs and probably add a French bedhead in the bedroom.
We will keep you posted as soon as its finished and we’ve taken some new pics.
Leave Comment » We recently completed a total renovation of a studio apartment in the very central Les Halles neighbourhood of Paris for one of our investment clients. The apartment is situated on the first floor of a 17th century building, with very high ceilings. It is about 35 sq. Metres large.

The first pictures show the apartment before we started renovation. There was a mezzanine that cut the light coming into the apartment making it very dark, which we moved to the other side of the studio, in order to open up the two large windows giving on to an inner courtyard. We also completely restored and renovated the plumbing and electricity, created a new modern bathroom with a large shower, toilet and sink and a modern American kitchen.

Below, you can see some images of the project that we presented to the client.

And after approximately six weeks of renovation and two more weeks for the decoration we were able to welcome guests in the new apartment, who were extremely happy with it.

Here are some pictures that we took in the beginning. We will be posting some better photos (some features such as the kitchen and curtains were not yet fully installed in these photos) on the web page of the apartment, http://specialapartments.com/12_cossonnerie.html
