Hi Regis
I stayed in your apartment #10 at Fauborg St Martin.
We stayed for 3 nights consisting of my spouse and two grown-up children.
Except that we had a little trouble to decipher the opening and closing of the front door to the building and the flat on Day 1, our stay was extremely pleasant.
We did use the kitchen facilities, given that we are strict vegetarians, in the evening and that was a great relief.
The apartment was close to another big station, Gard d’Lest, that we walked those 100 mtrs every day so as to be sure of choosing which line to use and which desitination to go to.
Great visit to a great city and we will test a bigger apartment of yours when we come next time. Tks for all the help shown in finalising the apartment at short notice
Hello Regis,
My wife and I stayed at studio apartment #36, opposite Musee du Louvre on Rue de Rivoli in late June 2009. We stayed for 8 nights.
Our stay in Paris was fantastic. The central location of this apartment was great, with ready access to 3 Metro stations covering lines 1, 7 & 14, all no more than 5 minutes walk away. We also had a Velib bike station just around the corner - a fantastic way to get around Paris for anyone who’s comfortable using a bicycle. And so many places are within comfortable walking distance.
The apartment is compact, as you’d expect for a studio, but it met all my wife’s and my needs. We could leave the windows open at night, and because the windows open over courtyards, noise from the busy Rue de Rivoli was a non-issue. Noise from other apartments was not noticeable either. The whole place was very secure.
We cooked many of our own meals - sourcing groceries at a Monoprix supermarket (under 5 minutes walk away on the corner of Av de l’Opera and Rue des Pyramides), and also the wonderful food shops at Rue Monorgueil only 10 minutes walk) - and the kitchen met all our needs. Having a fresh hot coffee from the coffee maker provided was just the thing every morning.
The washing machine was great and the bathroom has a good shower, toilet and sink. While we barely used them, the TV, stereo and telephone all worked fine, per the instructions we were given.
We were met on arrival, all very timely and friendly. All our communication, before and after our stay, and our booking were all handled quickly and professionally.
We also found the 1er arrondissement to be a very clean area in Paris. This was in contrast to the experience of a friend who visited Paris just before us, and who stayed near the Bastille.
Our experience was very positive, and we recommend both Special Apartments and apartment #36.
Thanks and regards
