INSTRUCTIONS ON ARRIVAL

So, you've booked your apartment, maybe some extra’s, you’ve given your arrival details in the rental contract and you’ve received your confirmation e-mail from Special Apartments.

What’s the next step?

When you are ready to travel, make sure that you have the telephone number of our office, (When you phone from abroad that will be 00 33 1 77 32 12 15 and when you phone from France 01 77 32 12 15), and the address of the apartment, which we will be in the rental contract that we sent you.

If for any reason, there is a flight or train delay, it is very important to contact us at this number from your departure point, so that we can organize accordingly. If you do not, you may have to wait longer than expected to be welcomed at the apartment.

As soon as you have all your baggage and you are ready to leave the airport or train station, phone us at the number above to inform us that you are ready and how you are planning to come in to Paris (Shuttle, bus, train or taxi). We will be able to calculate your estimated arrival time at the apartment.

One of our representatives will be at the apartment to welcome you if your arrival is within working hours. If no-one is there, don’t panic, somebody will arrive shortly (we cannot always guaranty to be there at exactly the same time as you, as the journey from the airport to Paris can be variable, depending on traffic, and we may have a few people arriving at around the same time).

Our representative, will then welcome you in your apartment, answer any questions you may have, leave you a copy of the welcome brochure that we sent you by mail when your reservation was confirmed, explaining everything you need to know, some beautiful postcards of Paris and a copy of your contract and credit card receipt.

We will be happy to meet you at our office (51 rue de Turbigo, 75003 Paris. Metro Arts et Métier) to give you the keys to the apartment, explain how to get there, give you a copy of your contract with the credit card receipt and answer any questions that you may have.

 

3/. What if I’m arriving outside working hours and I haven’t ordered a welcome service?

We will send you instructions by mail on how to get the keys, either from our offices in the city centre (located close to all of our apartments) or directly at the apartment itself.

 

4/. My flight arrives at six O'clock in the morning (or some other time before normal check-in time). Is there any way that I can access the apartment earlier?

If the apartment has been cleaned and checked to make sure it is ready we will be happy to let you access the apartment free of charge earlier than the normal check-in time; this needs to be confirmed with us no earlier than 48 hours before your arrival. In this event we will arrange for you to pick up the keys at the office or directly at the apartment.

If you want to be guaranteed to access the apartment before normal check-in time, We recommend that you either book the apartment for the night before (this is an early check-in before 11O'clock); this will enable you to access the apartment as soon as you arrive, by either picking up the keys in a safety box at our office or, (when available), picking up the keys directly from a safety box at the apartment itself. Alternatively for a half-nightly charge you can access the apartment from 11O'clock onwards and we will meet you at the apartment directly.

 

5/. My flight arrives early. Is there anywhere that I could leave
my baggage before normal check-in time if I can't access the apartment?

During normal working hours (10:00-18:00 mon-fri, and 10:00-16:00 on Saturdays) we'll be happy to have you come by our office and leave your bags free of charge, until you check-in later in the day (you'll need to organise this with our staff and it will depend on their availability). Otherwise you can also leave your luggage at the Gare du Nord train station for a small fee.

 

6/. What about if I’m coming by car? For all apartments
except #004, #011, #015, #020, #021, #027, #036

When you are ready to travel, make sure that you have the telephone number of our office, (When you phone from abroad that will be 00 33 1 77 32 12 15 and when you phone from France 01 77 32 12 15), the address of  our office and of the apartment, which we will be in the rental contract that we sent you.

If you are coming to Paris by car (within working hours or you have ordered a welcome at the apartment outside working hours), you will have notified us of your expected arrival in the rental contract that you have sent us. When you arrive in Paris, please give us a phone call and notify us of where you are exactly, so that we can estimate your arrival time at the apartment together. It is very important that you keep us informed as to your whereabouts and any delays, since with traffic conditions, arrival times can vary enormously.

The same applies for an arrival with no welcome, except that you will be passing by our office to pick up the keys from a safety box or pick them up directly in a safety box at the apartment (when available).
