This furnished two-bedroom apartment is situated in a private pedestrian passage, called passage de l'ancre (pictured below) which gives on to the Rue de Turbigo between Boulevard Sebastopol and Rue St. Martin in the Marais, an old and popular area of Paris. It is one of the Parisian neighborhoods that has preserved almost all of its pre-revolutionary architecture. Close by are the Georges Pompidou Cultural Center, Les Halles Mall, and the well-known pedestrian Rue de Montorgueil, a residential and commercial street with greengrocers, fishmongers, and lovely restaurants and cafes. A little further away is the royal Place des Vosges with the former residences of many historic personalities. Also nearby are the Louvre, City Hall, and the Seine with its enchanting islands.

The apartment, which has a surface area of 100 square meters (1067 sq. ft) is located on the fifth floor of a 19th century building, reached by an elevator. There is a security code on the downstairs entrance. The entrance hall leads on to the bathroom, living area and the two bedrooms. The bathroom has a separate bath and shower, his and hers wash basins and separate toilet area. The washing machine and dryer are also in the bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a bunk bed for two and the other bedroom has a queen sized bed and a day bed.

The open plan kitchen and living area are a loft-type space. The kitchen with its beautiful old teracotta tiled floor, is very well equipped with polished black granite work surfaces, a large american refrigerator, with ice maker and freezer, a gas stove with four burners, an oven and a microwave. There is also a coffee maker, toaster, kettle as well as a dishwasher. The kitchen area is separated from the living area by a bar with high stools.

The living area with its two large windows and wooden parquet floors, giving on to a balcony overlooking the street, has a comfortable sofa where you can watch the large plasma flatscreen television with dvd and home cinema system. There is also a piano.
