Reservation procedure and what's included (or not) in our prices

 

Special apartments is a company specialised in the short term rental of furnished apartments in the center of Paris. We have been managing furnished apartment rentals since January 2005 and our team has over ten years of experience in the hotel, residence and furnished rentals business. Our aim is to make your visit to Paris as fuss-free and enjoyable as possible.

 

How do I reserve?

1. Choose an apartment, or a selection of apartments, best adapted to your needs.


2. Fill in our contact form and send it to us. We will get back to you very shortly, often within a few minutes, but no longer than 12 hours, even on weekends! Check your spam if you don't hear back, sometimes our replies can get caught in your spam folder.


3. After deciding on the apartment that is most suitable for you, send us a booking request so that we can proceed to send you a link to a secured online rental contract page. Your reservation option will be kept for 48 hours from the moment we have sent you the link.


4. Fill in our secure online contract form within 48 hours, filling in all the required fields as well as any extra services that you may require


5. Check with your bank in order to make sure that they approve a foreign transaction. Our company name is R.M. Consulting.


6. As soon as your credit card payment has been approved, we will send you a confirmation e-mail.

 

How do I pay for the apartment, the security deposit and other services?

1. Payment is accepted by credit card (Visa or Mastercard).


2. As soon as we receive your secure online rental contract fully filled in, we will proceed to debit your card for 50% of the total amount of the rental price, if the reservation is more than 30 days before arrival, or 100% if the reservation is within 30 days before arrival; this will confirm your reservation.


3. The balance will be debited from the same credit card that you used to hold your reservation one month before your booking date and your receipt will be given to you with your bill and keys on your arrival.

4. We will also temporarily hold the security deposit on your credit card (your card is not debited, it is a pre-authorisation); the amount is specified in your rental contract (500€) . Please make sure that your bank will authorize this transaction, as the keys cannot be given unless the security deposit is taken.


5. The cost of any damage or discrepancies (if any) will be deducted from the pre-authorized debit.

 

What is included in the price?

When you rent an apartment with Special apartments, we include:


1. Somebody to welcome you at the apartment if your arrival is within normal working hours (Mondays to Fridays from 14:00-18:00 and Saturdays from 14:00-16:00).


2. A welcome note explaining everything you need to know about the apartment, with instructions for departure and some ideas to get you going in the apartments neighbourhood.


3. Welcome bottle of wine on arrival & complimentary welcome basket, with some coffee, tea, biscuits etc.. (We offer a bottle of Champagne for apartment Ref.#009)


4. A clean apartment on arrival and a normal cleaning service at departure.


5. One set of bed linens and a dish cloth for the kitchen.


6. One large-sized bath towel (75cm*150cm) and one medium-sized towel (40cm*75cm) per person and one floor towel per bathroom.


7. One new roll of toilet paper per toilet.


8. One sachet/tablet of washing powder for dishwasher and washing machine (if there is one in the apartment).


9. Some dishwashing liquid.


10. One set of Keys.


11. Electricity and gas charges except for stays up to two weeks (clients are expected to respect the environment by turning off lights and electric heaters when absent from the apartment)



12. Heating and hot water. (Clients are expected to respect the environment by turning off or reducing the power on electric heaters when absent from the apartment)


13. All local taxes.


14.* ** Phone calls to landlines (not mobile phones, except for the USA and Canada) : France and DOM:- Mainland France, French Guyana, Guadaloupe, Martinique, La Réunion. European union:- Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Letonia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Rest of the World:- Albania, American Virgin Islands, Andorra, Argentina, Australia,Azores, Bahamas, Bahrein, Bermuda, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Canada (including cell-phones) Canaries, Chili, China, Columbia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Easter Islands, Georgia, Gibraltar, Guam, Guernesey, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Jersey, Jordan, Laos, Liechtenstein, Macao, Macedonia, Madeira, Malaysia, Moldavia, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Russia, San Marino, Saint Pierre et Miquelon, Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, USA (including Cell-phones), The Vatican &Venezuela. For any other countries or special phone numbers, the client should buy an international phone card. The phone bill for the apartment will be checked and verified on reception and any extra amount (plus a 10 euro service charge) will be debited from the security deposit on the guests credit card.

15.** High-speed internet connection and cable television (except where stated).

** We cannot be held responsable for any disfunctioning of these services which are beyond our control and no reimbursement can be offered in the event that they do not work. We will, however do everything in our power to contact the provider and to get things working as quickly as possible.



What is not included in the price?

When you rent an apartment with Special apartments, we do not include:


1. Check- in before 14:00 (At our discretion, we may permit guests to leave their baggage at our offices from 10:00-18:00 mon-fri and 10:00-16:00 on Saturdays)


2. Check-out after 10:00 (At our discretion, we may permit guests to leave their baggage at our offices from 10:00-18:00 mon-fri and 10:00-16:00 on Saturdays)


3. Somebody to welcome you at the apartment outside normal working hours (10:00-18:00 mon-fri and 10:00-16:00 on Saturdays), on Bank Holidays and the 24th and the 31st December. We do offer this as a paid service on normal working days.Otherwise you may pick up the keys from a safety box at our office or from a safety box at the apartment (when available)


4. Extra sets of keys. (A supplement is required)


5. Extra towels and wash cloths.(Look at the rental contract for a detail of extra services that we can offer)


6. Soap, Shampoo and other toiletries.


7. Washing pots, pans & dishes on departure.


8. Emptying of garbage on departure.


9. Taking the linens off the beds.

10. Out of the ordinary cleaning service. (If more than normal cleaning is required to put the apartment back to its state on arrival, the extra cleaning time will be billed to the client on an hourly base rate of 50€, with a mininum 50€ charge). 11. Electricity and gas bills for stays of over two weeks (we will read the metre on arrival and at departure and charge at the standard rates.
